ATM: Located near the main lobby. Major credit cards are accepted for cash transactions.
Babysitting & Nursery: Available by request through the manager of activities with 48 hours advance notice. Care and consideration are used to match the most appropriate available sitter with each request. Rates are $9 per hour plus and $1 more per child. Minimum payment of $20 is expected. A cash payment is required to pay for services and is expected at the end of the shift. A babysitting brochure is also available. From December through March, a well-equipped play area in the Alpine Base Lodge welcomes children who 6 months-5 years old. Children younger or older are welcome at the approval of the nursery staff. Children may enjoy a variety of age-appropriate games, crafts and activities while parents experience a full day of alpine or cross-country skiing. Limited space available daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Bikes: Bicycle rentals & trail maps are complimentary to registered guests.
Boating: Paddleboats, canoes, kayaks, and row boats are all available lakeside, and are complimentary to registered guests.
Business Services: Fax messages for guests should be sent c/o The BALSAMS Grand Resort Hotel, 603-255-4221. Guests wishing to send fax messages should deliver them to the front desk. There is a small charge for facsimile service. Photocopying, stenography and typing services are also available through the front desk.
Concierge: For assistance with anything during your stay, concierge services are found in the guest reception area.
Church Services: A schedule of Colebrook church services is posted on the lobby bulletin board.
Dining: The BALSAMS has very distinct dining in several locations on our property. Visit our Dining section for descriptions.
Fitness Center: A modern, full-service facility is available on the lower level. Open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. Children under 16 must be supervised.
Flowers: Available for all occasions, centerpieces, corsages, roses & party arrangements. Contact the Front Desk for ordering information.
Golf: One championship 18-hole Donald Ross designed course, and one executive, 9-hole course. Please see our Golf Information. Complimentary to registered guests!
Hair Salon: On property, for men, women & children. Walk-Ins are welcome, but appointments are strongly recommended.
Hiking: Ask for a trail map in the Mountain Bike Center. Miles of trails with stunning mountain vistas, wildlife & waterfalls.
Ice Skating: Outdoors, complimentary rentals for registered guests.
Irons: Available in each room.
Laundry & Dry Cleaning: Laundry received by 9:00 a.m. will be returned the same day. Dry Cleaning is also available, pick-up & delivery occurs Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Massage: Therapeutic massage services are available through the Spa, by appointment.
Mountain Bikes: Rentals & trail maps are complimentary to registered guests.
Notary Public / Justice of the Peace: Available upon request. Please see the Front Desk.
Pets: The BALSAMS is Pet- Friendly! For a fee of $25 per pet, you will find a pet bed, food & water dishes, and more to make your furry friend's stay more comfortable. Pet Friendly Policy & More Information.
Pool: A large outdoor heated pool sits lakeside with lifeguards and waterfront attendants on duty during operating hours. There is also a poolside cabana bar for a refreshing mid-afternoon treat.
Safe Deposit Boxes: Complimentary to registered guests. Available at the Front Desk.
Shipping Services: Federal Express, UPS, and USPS are all available for shipping items Monday through Friday, to and from The BALSAMS. Please call 1-(800) 255-0600 for more details.
Shopping: The BALSAMS offers 4 unique shops, stocked with gifts, apparel, candy, and more.
