Some of the most enthusiastic guests of The BALSAMS are children. There is always so much to do, and so many new experiences to try. Our entire resort's child entertainment environment is safe and very well attended, yet encouraging for children to explore new adventures and feel a genuine sense of freedom.
Under the direction of a professional supervisor, the recreation staff organizes activities that offer a taste of the Great Outdoors for kids and are appropriate for youth and family participation. The BALSAMS also provides complimentary child-care for guest children ages 6 months to 5 year olds. Children under age are welcome to the discretion of the supervisor. The hours are daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Saturday, and Sunday. Day guests are welcome to use the facility for their children for a fee.
The fun in the winter starts with skating parties, broomball games, skiing instruction and more. Children not wishing to participate in an organized program or event are free to use the game room for board games, cards, puzzles and more. Family fun continues with evening group games for all ages! The movie lovers, there will be a children's movie playing as well every night.

The BALSAMS welcomes the young guests to a fun-filled night with lots to do! Free pith hat for the first 75 children that come through the door! Games, magic, bingo, Wii games, and much more. Make your own banana split is one of the special activities! Come join in the fun! Ages 5+ are welcome!
