Enjoy dining on the veranda

Welcome to the 146th season at The BALSAMS Grand Resort Hotel. We invite you to join us for “dining on the veranda,” a much-anticipated experience we’re offering guests during the summer months. Along with the peaceful setting and beautiful mountain views surrounding The BALSAMS famous veranda, guests will enjoy delicious menu items, like our new “lobster Cobb salad” or “grilled summer vegetable wrap,” and classic items like “New England lobster salad roll” or our “house-ground burger” seared to perfection on our signature grill. Each “burger of the day” will be unique – with no repeats throughout the entire season. Celebrate a pleasant New Hampshire evening or add a touch of romance to your dinner. It’s our pleasure to offer dining on the veranda to you. And as always, we look forward to visiting with you soon.

Overnight guests of the hotel may enjoy breakfast or dinner on the veranda. Dining on the veranda is by reservation only, on a first come, first serve basis, and in-house guests will have priority. Reservations will be accepted each day starting at 8:00 a.m. Dining on the veranda is weather dependent. 

 

The Dining Room and Sample Menu

Dining at The BALSAMS is always a special occasion. Our acclaimed chefs use only the freshest ingredients, oftentimes from local farmers.  The menu changes nightly, and is presented table d' hôte style by the gracious & charming staff. 

Our celebrated wine cellar features over 5,000 bottles from 300 plus different labels, and is continually recognized by Wine Spectator.  Please download a PDF of our extensive wine list.

Table d' hôte is only available for dinner. Also, men are required to wear jackets for evening dining and please, no denim's for dinner.  See below for a sample menu.
