Explore The BALSAMS Wilderness Ski Area, a winter wonderland where the beautiful tree-lined trails are well-groomed and lift lines are almost non-existent. The BALSAMS Grand Resort Hotel features an alpine ski area with an on-site lodge, sixteen trails of varying difficulty, five gladed areas and a Terrain Park. To add to the family fun, there is a separate ski-play area for youngsters. PSIA certified instructors offer private coaching and group classes in alpine skiing as well as snowboarding. A modern snowmaking system is in place on 80% of the trails.

The trail system traverses the resort's 8,000-acre private estate featuring unforgettable views and unspoiled wilderness. Ski loops of varying length and difficulty have been developed within the cross-country trail system. A state-of-the-art topographical Trail Map and Guide clearly and accurately displays the entire system, with helpful hints and interesting explanations along the way.
